Truckfest Celebrates 21st Anniversary In Scotland

truckfest

Truckfest comes of age this year as it celebrates its 21st anniversary in Scotland on Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August, at the Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston. To celebrate, the organisers are promising even more customised trucks and live entertainment as well as your favourite soap and TV stars.

Featuring the leading names and manufacturers in the business, Truckfest is much more than an industry event and attracts over 500 amazing vehicles, all decked out in amazing paintjobs and gleaming chrome. See well known cartoon characters, iconic film and sports stars, beautiful landscapes and even stunning ladies captured in what can only be described as moving works of art.

Truckfest is held in association with Fruehauf, part of the Invictas Group Ltd that is owned by Cheshire based Bowden Investment Group. It will be displaying its new performance range of tipping trailers which on average work out 300kg lighter than the competition as well as welcoming customers old and new at the event.

The live action arena, sponsored by T.O.M. Airdrie, features fantastic family entertainment including the Flying Gunners, Monster Trucks Big Foot and Slingshot, stunt drivers, TV stars and much more to keep people of all ages entertained throughout the two-day event.

The main arena action takes nothing away from the extensive industry exhibits or the hundreds of competitors competing in the cherished Truckfest awards, which has euphemistically been called ‘Crufts for Trucks’. Trucks of all shapes and sizes with amazing customised paintjobs, gleaming chrome and fantastic interiors will be hoping to win one of the many awards up for grabs commending the best in show. Categories include Best Kept Working Truck, Company Owned, New Truck, Fleet, Tipper or Rigged Truck, Custom and Paintwork, Classic or Vintage, and Best Scottish Working Truck.

T.O.M. Airdrie encompasses a full range of services for car and commercial vehicle operators such as trailer rental, breakdown and recovery, MOTs and coach building. The company, which has 25 years of manufacturing experience, will showcase the newest member of the T.O.M Family – JWR Recovery systems.

If you fancy pitching up a tent or bringing your caravan along, camping and caravanning facilities are on offer from lunchtime on Friday so you can make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend and those staying on site will enjoy live entertainment on Saturday evening. A fun fair, children’s cartoon characters and hundreds of trade stands, make it a fun-packed weekend not to be missed.

Truckfest is open from 9am until 5.30pm. Day Tickets are available at £10.50 for adults and £6.50 for children when purchased on advance. Family tickets (two adults and two children) are £27.50 in advance whilst camping starts from £60.00 for two adults and two children or three adults. Tickets will also be available on the gate.
